The strike by Paladin security workers on Manus Island continues into its second day.
Security posts were deserted again this morning, Wednesday 27 February.
Food ration packs, normally distributed to refugees by Paladin workers on Tuesdays, were, yesterday, distributed by police and immigration officers.
Angry workers appeared briefly at the detention compound gates early last night (Tuesday), but after confirming that no-one was working, they immediately left again.
