Palm Sunday rally success

About 3000 people turned out in appalling weather in Sydney to demand an end to the horror the Abbott government is inflicting on asylum seekers on Nauru and Manus Island, and call for an end to refugee detention. View photos and video here.

There were rallies around the country that drew 8000 people in Melbourne, 2000 in Canberra and hundreds more in Perth, Brisbane and Adelaide.
